This court in Colchester had seen better days. Heavy algae and grime buildup had turned the playing surface dark, the court lines were barely visible, and debris was packed into every corner. It's the kind of buildup that happens gradually - you almost don't notice how bad it gets until you see it cleaned up.
A dirty court is more than an eyesore. Algae and organic buildup make the surface slippery, which is a real safety issue. It also traps moisture against the surface coating, which speeds up deterioration and can lead to expensive resurfacing work down the road. Regular pressure washing is one of the simplest ways to extend the life of a court.
We took our time on this one. The entire surface got a thorough pressure wash - playing area, out-of-bounds zones, and right up to the fence line. The difference between the before and after is hard to miss. Court lines went from barely there to sharp and clean, and the color of the surface coating came back in a big way.
We're actively looking to take on more tennis court cleaning work across Vermont. Whether it's a private backyard court, a HOA facility, or a club with multiple courts, we have the equipment and experience to handle it. Courts tucked in wooded areas like this one - where shade and moisture keep things wet - tend to build up the fastest and benefit the most from this kind of cleaning.
