The 2026 season is officially off and running. We wrapped up the first two house washes in Montpelier, Vermont, and the results speak for themselves. Clean siding makes a bigger difference than most people realize - until they actually see it.

Vermont winters are rough on exteriors. By the time spring rolls around, siding has taken months of moisture, freeze-thaw cycles, and organic growth. Algae, mold, and grime build up slowly, so slowly that you stop noticing how bad it's gotten. Then you look at a before photo and it hits you.

That's where soft washing comes in. It's not about blasting siding with high pressure - that can actually damage it. Soft washing uses low pressure combined with a cleaning solution that kills the biological growth at the source. The result is a clean that lasts, not just a rinse that pushes dirt around.

The lower courses of siding are always the first to show buildup. That's where moisture sits longest, and where algae and grime get the best foothold. Getting those areas right matters just as much as the rest of the wall - and we treat every inch of the house the same way.

We're already filling up the schedule for this season. If you've been putting off a house wash, now is the time to get on the list before things back up.
