When a home is going on the market, first impressions aren't just important - they're everything. Buyers make up their minds fast. And nothing undercuts a listing faster than siding covered in mold, algae streaks running down every lap, and a fence that looks more gray than white. That's exactly what we were working with on this Essex Junction home.

The siding had heavy biological buildup across the entire exterior. Green and black streaking along the lap lines, mold concentrated near the foundation, and that overall dingy look that makes a house feel neglected even when it isn't. The fence was in similar shape - chalky and gray from top to bottom. It needed a full soft wash treatment, not just a rinse.

Soft washing is the right call for vinyl siding. High pressure can force water behind the panels, lift edges, and leave streaking you can't get rid of. We use a low-pressure application with professional-grade cleaning solution that actually kills the mold and algae at the root. The result isn't just cleaner - it stays cleaner longer. That matters a lot when you're trying to get a home sold.

We treated the full exterior - all sides of the house, the fence, and everything in between. The white vinyl came back to life. The fence went from a weathered gray back to bright white. The kind of clean that shows up in listing photos and stops buyers in their tracks. This was our third house wash of the 2026 season and the schedule is already filling up. If you've got a home that needs attention, now is the time to get on the list.
